OMG! No wonder the doctor looked worried

OK, I couldn’t decide what to call this post, it was either that or “Google frightens me to death sometimes”This is what the GP says Bradley has…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevens-Johnson_syndrome
And then on top of that, he now has a secondary throat infection.  Dr R showed me his throat – it’s FULL of white sores :( (.  And Bradley hasn’t even been moaning that his throat is sore, my poor baby. :(

He’s taken throat swabs to get tested to find the cause, and he’s got even more medication to take. If it gets even slightly worse, I have to phone him.
And before I read the link, I was contemplating whether to allow him to partake in his concert tomorrow (dependant on how he was feeling). Now, I dunno.  Maybe it would be more prudent for him to just rest.
No wonder the doctor said he has to stay home until he's completely better.
The GP didn’t seem too happy with the paed either.

I’m just so relieved that he actually listened to me.  I didn’t feel that Dr T listened to me at all.
The GP said the itchiness was normal for this syndrome, and will be exacerbated by him getting hot. This was NOT explained by the paed.
When he first looked at Bradley, he wasn’t sure whether it was this or another syndrome, and then he got some books out, and showed me the difference.  My word!  Those photos looked like what Bradley looked like 2 weeks ago (and he’s starting to get bad like that again).

Hopefully the throat cultures get results in the next 24 hours, and then he’ll phone me to tell me the verdict.  Some of the moms on BN are saying I should take him to a specialist dermatologist now.  I think I’ll wait until the GP tells me what to do now.
I just want him to get back to normal again.
