After I got home from the airport last night with my tree (and YAY managed not to get highjacked on the way home.. yes, you have to watch your back at the Jo’burg Airport), and tucked the kids into bed and had a quick chat with Lance, I zooted off to bookclub with my bottle of wine in hand. It was so cool! Fiona brought a bottle of champers too! Everyone fell in love with my wine that I got as an award, so we all had a bit. What a gorgeous wine!
There’s nothing better than celebrating with friends. I was explaining to my colleague on the way home that we all met online, and she was amazed. Hee hee! I find that people are constantly amazed that I’ve made real friends online. In fact, yesterday morning at the Waterfront I bumped into Rikke, and another colleague as astounded when I said that I’d never actually met her before, but recognised her from her photos and we were chatting like old friends.

I suppose I should have made more of an effort to get together with the Cape Town ladies, but I ran out of time, and without having a constant network connection it was very difficult to get in contact with people. In fact, I would have loved to meet up with Jane for one!
