… the tooth fairy
Yip, Bradley’s first tooth fell out
he’s so very excited. Except… we had to write a letter to the old tooth fairy tonight to explain that he’s actually lost it!!
LOL, we actually suspect that he swallowed it in his sleep last night, as he was toothless when he woke up this morning and we’ve hunted high and low for the missing tooth!
Now the dilemma is trying to figure out what a fair price is. I know from Babynet that some people give R50 for the 1st tooth, and R20 thereafter, but I’m thinking that’s too high. I’ll see how I feel just now when I go to bed, and have to play tooth fairy.

Sheesh… Damien got between R2 & R5 for his teeth from the toothmouse at home, and then his grandparents would sometimes give him a little more just ‘coz its a milestone. I sound like an old lady! “Well in MY day…”
…for the times they are a changing!

Oh this is so interesting. My daughter still hasn’t lost a tooth and I never really thought of how much the tooth fairy gives in exchange for a tooth. Now, I have ideas. Thanks a lot.

Remember, Elaine lost her first tooth too! On lst May – at a picnic and we searched high and low in the grass without success!! Also had to write a letter to the tooth fairy but she got 20c!! Inflation and the tooth fairy!!!

Nah, we’re scrooges in this house! R10 is the most my eldest has ever been given. But sadly (at 11) the Tooth Fairy fairytale was busted a couple of weeks ago, so no more paying for me!
Louisa
How much did you end up paying for the missing tooth?
