While I was eating a peppermint caramel sundae last night and editing photos and chatting on Twitter, all at the same time, I tweeted that my peppermint crisp tart tasted better than the Woolies one I was eating.
When I opened up my twitter stream on my phone this morning while drinking tea in bed and winding up to face the day, I noticed that Woolies had responded and they want to comment but can only do so after tasting my recipe
So without further ado, here is how to make the easiest pudding in the world (as given to me by my sister and given to her by one of her varsity friends while they were on a student exchange in Sweden)
Peppermint Crisp Tart
2 x 250ml cream whipped
2 x tins caramel
1 packet Baker’s tennis biscuits
1 large slab (300g I think) of Cadbury’s peppermint crisp chocolate grated
Whip the cream and then mix in the caramel (I normally use 1 and a half tins) and half of the grated chocolate.
Line a square or rectangular dish with whole tennis biscuits
Layer the mixture, and then another layer of biscuits and then the mixture etc, ending with the mixture.
Sprinkle the remaining grated chocolate on top
… and enjoy!

This recipe was passed down to me from my mother as well (though the measurements are slightly different).
Tip: For any moms or dads out there that have trouble feeding fruit to their kidlets, try adding slices of banana in between the mixture and the biscuits.

Yip I agree with you, I use the same recipe and LOVE it.

Sooooo….what was the verdict from Woolies?

I use the same method as you except I spread a layer on plain whipped cream on top and then sprinkle the chocolate. Woolworths peppermint/caramel dessert is SHIT, the peppermint essence is way too strong and artificial tasting. You can not buy good puddings in South African supermarkets, they are all very mediocre.
