This weekend I learnt…

May 30, 2011 filed under Arb | 9 Comments

… that I cannot do 4 weddings in a month again… I’m just too far behind with editing now

… that we have another mouse in the house (so the pest people are coming tomorrow)

… that the kids are now addicted to XBox Lego Star Wars III and I have to really pry them away from their game.

… that 44 Stanley is awesome… but Bean There Coffee place is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays so I can’t use it for the photo workshop I have planned, and all the other places there are too noisy.

… that the Ski Deck in Randburg is not a great place for Connor in winter (sorry Fiona), ‘cos he’s sick again after getting so wet on the slope.

… that I really really love doing tween and teen photoshoots

… that my bucket list needed updating in anticipation of my birthday… so I can start ticking them off every month

… that my birthday is coming up very soon, and I need to organise something considering it’s a Sunday (and I haven’t booked any photoshoots for that entire weekend)

… that I’m stumped with the photo workshop venue… not sure if the workshop will happen now.  I don’t have time to wander around looking for venues

Glad you’re taking your birthday weekend for yourself.

Mouse in the house … eek!

What about Lemon Rose? will they not let you use it in the afternoon on a Sunday maybe?

And if you do the “theory” part in one place and the practical in another?

44 Stanley is one of my favourite places. Thanks for reminding me about it, I need to go back!

Sorry that Connor is sick again :( Now that I’m thinking about it Ethan has a blocked nose since the party on Saturday too…I didn’t realise it’s probably from him getting so wet.

One last question ~ do you want to do something with or without the kids for your birthday? Arts on Main is awesome but not very kid friendly. You could book a table under the olive tree’s…you would love it there :)

Glad you are taking a weekend off. And what/when is the next workshop?

  • Wenchy

The workshop will happen when it happens :)

I really need to do a bucket list for myself too :)

That’s a lot of realizations for one weekend ;)

I wonder if my girls would like that Lego game for Xbox, too? They are such gamers and I’m always on the hunt for age appropriate games for them.

Okay so I’m behind the times, but I think you have a venue for your workshop now?
Yay for no bookings on your birthday weekend!
