A colleague, Ross, organised a doggy playdate this afternoon at Delta Park with very many dogs and their owners.  Despite the freezing weather and even colder wind, I took the huskies for a run and play in the park 🙂

It was actually awesome to be with other people in a dog park, and not on my own like normal… apart from the waiting up front because my dogs just will not stand still and couldn’t work out why I wasn’t walking with them 🙂 Then as we started walking they managed to smell something in the long grass, which set Kitara off and she tried very hard to catch whatever it was… I eventually dragged her out of a hole that she was burrowing in, and put her back on lead to get her going again… I did not want to find out what she was trying to catch, although from the look of that hole it was probably a snake or rodent of sorts.

Just after we met up… the dogs getting acquainted…

And of course mine went dashing off on their own mission…

This 4 month old cutie’s name is Mocha

So pleased with themselves because they found a muddy marsh area… as evidenced by Kimo’s black muddy paws and nose in the last photo… you can imagine what my car looked like after that!

Oh it was fun 🙂 and the dogs loved it.

But now Kitara’s leg is hurting again, and in fact this evening she can hardly walk 🙁 I’m almost convinced it’s because of the way Kimo plays with her and grabs her leg… it’s always the same one.
