I took photos at a bar mitzvah rehearsal at lunchtime today, at a Shul close to the office, and this just has to be my image for the day.  It was the last photo I took, and it was just after Chad had finished doing his entire reading.  I just LOVE the pride depicted in the image… in Chad’s face as well as in his dad’s emotions.

Before his bar mitzvah lessons, Chad apparently hadn’t known any Hebrew at all, and this was the first time his parents had heard him read… was so amazing to be a part of it.

I wasn’t going to use client photos as part of my 365, but I just couldn’t resist… this was just such an amazing session.  If you want to see more from the photoshoot, they’re here…

If you’re wondering how I took it… I didn’t use my flash during the session at all, there was enough natural light in the Shul.  I primarily used my 50mm f1.4, but when Chad was doing the reading, I switched to the 24-70mm so that I didn’t get in the way of the videographer.
