A girly lunch in Braamfontein 46/365

It’s Elaine’s birthday tomorrow, and I met her and my mom in Braamfontein for a lunch at Post at 70 Juta Street.  What an awesome spot!! No photo of the food I’m afraid, but I ate a stunning sarmie on sour dough bread with parma ham, brie and rocket… was so yum!!

Elaine was thrilled ‘cos they played music from a record player, and we sat next to the piles of LP’s… one of the LP’s we listened to was a recent Mumford and Son’s album… I do love their music.

Then to end the meal, Elaine had noticed a coffee called a Bomber on the menu, and after asking what it was, I decided in my wisdom to have a Big Bomber :) OMW I was buzzing for a few hours after that.  It’s a double espresso, with condensed milk and topped with cream :) my oath it was sweet! Elaine was wise enough to have a regular sized one.

Then we walked around for a bit, and looked at the various buildings and chatted about how cool it was to be in town again… and how clean it was there.  I love the vibe downtown!

and because I really like Mumford & Sons and I’m eyeing out their new album… here’s a fave of mine from the album we listened to at Post… Cave

Oh yes please for the bomber! I think I might be nauseous after drinking it. And now I’m craving a Dirkie condense milk!

PS: I just found your post on the blog get together at Wolves last year and then followed the link to your photoblog to look at the pics you took that evening. Although you can’t see my face, I feature in a few photos and realised that I was the tallest person in Wolves that day. My head sticks out above everyone. (I’m commenting here, because I couldn’t on the other posts.)

    PPS: Mumford and Sons. amazing

Tuesday nights are “pizza”nights and we listen to our old favourite LP’s on an old record plahyer! Love it!
