Giraffe outside my window 110/365

Gosh, Lauren’s mom stays in the most fabulous place!!  She lives on a private game reserve outside Nelspruit, and I stayed in a guest cottage next to the main house.   This was what I saw as I opened the blinds on Saturday morning…

It was a family of 5 giraffe, including 2 babies.  So very very special!  As soon as I walked outside with my DSLR, the 2 adults gave me the beedy eye… and eventually wandered off.

On our way out the reserve to the wedding a little later, we saw a family of zebras and a herd of Eland.

What an amazing place, it was a real treat to stay there for the weekend!  It’s so idyllic! This morning we saw one of the residents riding his mountain bike on the paths through the veld… I could live there in a heartbeat.
