Scootering around in Parys 118/365

Gosh I’m so in love with my 70-200mm lens at the moment, I do wish that I had a second full frame camera though to make proper use of it at weddings (I’ve normally got it attached to my backup body at weddings). We went to Parys yesterday to visit Lance’s mom and I took my lens for a bit of a workout while the kids scootered down the street.

I just love the wide streets in Parys.  You see those funny holey kerbs?  Well, they open some river sluice thing every week, and Vaal river water flows through the town in the ditches along the roads, and all the residents have made special watering mechanisms, and this allows them to water their gardens using the river water.  So very clever!

      They’re awesome cos they can fold flat so they’re easy to take in the car
