Favourite birthday gift 243/365

This remote controlled Maisto Hummer is Connor’s favourite birthday gift… other than the Nintendo DS games he got ;)

It’s kept him busy for hours over the last week :)

And it kept me busy for a while this evening too… I rested the camera on the ground and guestimated where the car would go and then just started shooting.  As a result… LOADS of blurred images ;)

What it also resulted in was an awesome chat to my youngest son at dusk… sitting on the driveway… just the two of us… just chatting about the shape of the moon and the dogs and what he’d done on his first day of half-term break.

 

And now editing the images, and thinking about it… it’s moments like this that I’m grateful I’m capturing with this project.  It’s forcing me to just be with the kids and listen to them…. without noise.
