I met my mom and sister at the Linden Market this morning. The market is a few times every year in the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens in Johannesburg. It’s one of my favourite markets to go to, and it was a lot bigger this time which was really great. There were loads more stalls with food and actually just a lot more of everything.

We got there just after it opened, and I’m so glad we planned our day like that. When I left at lunchtime the queue to get in was miles long!

I loved this stand run by CLAW. If you fell in love with one of their rescues, you could take it for a walk around the market and then adopt it! Apparently last time they had the CLAW stand at the market, every one of the rescues were adopted. They were such gorgeous dogs, and we saw quite a lot of people taking them for walks. Actually, this market has a lot of dogs around… it’s one of the few pet friendly markets in Joburg.

I was so bleak when I left because all this gorgeous bread was finished! I should have bought some when I saw it. I did however buy amazing Portuguese custard tart (pastéis de nata) from this bakery for the boys at home.

I bought the most incredible original art from KTB Artworks. It’s an A3 black and white Nguni cow which is going to be hanging on my dining room wall very soon. I just loved the little bunnies that she paints. Her prints are really reasonable, so have a look at her Facebook page and buy some local art!

While I was at the market, I did a little quick shoot for Bosch Girl to show off her new dresses. I just love her clothing and have been eyeing out one of her blouses for ages… and yes, I went home with it!

Elaine made a beeline for this stand, and I could see why. OMW Mia’s jewellery is gorgeous! I really want some of her earrings and necklaces.

I made a beeline for L2 Lyon’s T-shirt stall. I’d bought t-shirts for the boys from her last year and they are so incredible. The t-shirts are so soft and the designs are hand drawn and dyed into the fabric. They wash so amazingly well, so they’re well worth buying.

I knew I’d make the right decision about the shirts when I got home and Connor immediately put it on. He loves them!

Linden Market is such a great day out. There’s always amazing music, and today Beukes & Delaney provided the perfect entertainment.
