I got a phone call from my SIL (who works for ER24) on Tuesday… and to cut a long story short, me and the kids (and my mom) were filmed this morning for a Stay Alert Stay Alive advert.
How cool is that?! It’s apparently going to air in 2 weeks time for the first time, I’ll let you all know when.
My mom and I had to shop with the kids, and walk to my car, and put the kids in their car seats… that’s all… umpteen times! Well, they weren’t my car seats, they were car seats that PnP sell.
The aim of the segment is to explain the pros of using proper booster seats for kids, because most kids getting killed in car accidents are now between the ages of 3 and 6 – they’re not being strapped into booster seats properly.
I was very proud of the kids. It took about 2 hours to finish our segment, and they were really as good as gold. Connor got bored quickly but really didn’t cause too many problems, and Bradley was an absolute star! Connor was eventually so tired that he fell asleep in the seat.
I think the fact that I was feeding Connor sweets on the side to keep him chirpy helped a bit 😉
And hopefully it works out OK! I managed to get a hair appoinment with my stylist at 7am this morning. LOL! I was going for the yummy mummy look 🙂 Seriously though, I was looking rather shocking, and was in desperate need of a haircut, so thankfully she managed to squeeze me in!
Anyhoo, it should be aired on SABC3 in about 2 weeks time for the first time, I’ll let you all know exactly when!
