… and the kids are getting excited 🙂 Even Connor is excited, he knows that Father Christmas is going to leave presents for him under the tree tonight… for “Meee and Baabaaa (Bradley) and Mama and Dada”.
I love this time of year with all the wonder and magic and mystery. I really hope that this magic carries on for a few more years for Bradley.
I’m supposed to be cleaning the house… but decided a while ago to can that idea and watch a Christmas movie on TV with the kids. It was called “Elf” and at the end of the movie everyone starts singing to get the Christmas spirit up so Santa’s sleigh can get going. I had tears in my eyes (yes, I’m one of those people) when Bradley started singing on top of his voice…
Oh! You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why:Santa Claus is coming to town!
He’s making a list,
He’s checking it twice,
He’s gonna find out
who’s naughty or nice.Santa Claus is coming to town!
He sees you when you’re sleeping,
He knows when you’re awake.
He knows when you’ve been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake! So…You better watch out,
You better not cry
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why.Santa Claus is coming to town.
I’ve wrapped the presents, apart from the scooters for the boys, which Lance will put together tonight. The house is about to get cleaned (once Connor wakes up from his nap). The washing is getting dry on the line. I need to make the Garlic mayonaise (my grandmother’s recipe) for the ham for tonight and tomorrow. And then we’re ready.
Tonight, we’re having dinner at my parent’s house with my brother and his family (he’s on standby tomorrow so we can’t have our normal lunch on Christmas Day).
We’d better remember to put out the cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for his reindeer before the kids go to sleep.
And to all of you out there… have a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family!
Connor sounds so cute man Jeanette!
LOL I cry at all those movies too – I cried when I watched Jungle Book yesterday!!
Have a GOOD evening!!
That sounds delightful… all that magic. I’m trying to be ‘spirited’ and finally started looking for the tree on Christmas Eve. LOL We usually put it up on the 16th, but we were away… so tonight will have to do. We spending Christmas alone – just us and the kids so it will be fun decorating tonight. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and THANK YOU for always visiting and commenting on my blog.
