I popped into Sandton city today to collect a client’s photobook and while I was there, I used the time wisely… and went shopping!!
My aim, to find the new shops I’d heard about, and to see whether they were as good as they sounded. So, after asking for directions from Twoogle (my peeps on Twitter), I headed off to the bottom floor opposite CNA and I found both new stores I was looking for!
I went into Entrepo first…
Ooh I could’ve spent a lot of money there. Â Not only do they have the most amazing kitchen and cooking stuff, but I really liked their decor items. Â I fell in love with this huge mirror… it’s R1699… and would be perfect in my diningroom! Â I also liked a stool, which was almost moroccan in style, but I can’t find a photo of it on their website (I knew I should have taken more photos!)
I also like the fact that they have an online store… I think I’ll be visiting to do a spot of Christmas shopping. Â I like that their range is so very different to the other home stores… I mean, how cool is this boomerang wok?
Anyway, then I walked next door to Typo. Now I’m not a complete stationery fanatic. Â I do like nice pens etc, but I’m not one for notebooks and paper crafts. Â If you’re a stationery fan and you like notebooks… then you’ll think this shop is heaven sent! I’ve never seen a range of notebooks like I saw in that shop today!
I did spend money though 😉 I couldn’t resist their special of 5 pens for R40… and then I found an owl ceramic pen holder for my desk… and an old fashioned wooden ruler… and a metal mail holder… and ooohhhh a whole range of map things!! I LUUURRRRVVEEE map patterned things… so I got myself a mousepad covered in a NY underground map :))
Now that’s definitely somewhere I’m getting some Xmas gifts from!!
