We’ve just come back from our holiday, so be prepared for a few holiday posts 🙂

On our way down to the coast, we stayed at the most incredible working beef farm in the Midlands! Jolo Farm is just outside Rosetta, and is close enough to Nottingham Hill road for us to go to different cafes, restaurants and pubs for all our meals.

We stayed in a cottage on the farm, and all the rooms had enormous windows and doors opening out onto a gorgeous view of the valley… the only sound around was the odd MOO 🙂

This was the view from the lounge…

The cottage we stayed in… isn’t is gorgeous?!

In the afternoon, we took a walk around the farm and found the little picnic spot on the river.

The view of the farm house and cottages from the river…

We loved the place, and will definitely be going there again when we travel to the coast.

As for places we ate at… we had dinner at Sapore, and breakfast at The Bloom Cafe.

Sapore – we had a phenomenal meal, apart from the pizza that Bradley ordered. He thought the idea of the Sticky Pig pizza with cherry smoked bacon sounded awesome, but in fact it was so sickly sweet that he only managed 2 slices. My pasta and the other 2 pizzas were great though.

The Bloom Cafe – what a gorgeous place!! It was so very cold and rainy the next morning, and we sat next to a fireplace to eat our breakfast. It was yummy, but don’t expect a big menu… if we’d known we would’ve rather gone there for lunch or tea… and gone somewhere else for breakfast.
