The theme for the week on MyFourHens Photography’s 52 Project: Shapes
You’d think Shapes would be an easy topic!
Well, I could think of many photos, but didn’t have the time to get them together… or they seemed a little silly or seemed like it would look awful in the end. And then I got sick!
So today, I thought of circles.
I made a round fridge cheesecake topped with fresh pomegranate seeds and fresh round blueberries and put it on a round dish. We went to Madelein and Pierre’s house for lunch, and this was my contribution to the meal.
(I’m also quite pleased with the other circles in the image… from Carmen’s skirt, to the shape of her face and her neckline, to the circles of light in the background)
It was a first for me. I’ve only ever made a baked cheesecake before. It was declared a hit by everyone! Thankfully it was very easy and quick to make because I really didn’t have much time on my hands after my photo shoot.
If you’re wondering, it was my adaptation of Nigella Lawson’s cherry cheesecake from her book called “Nigella Express”. An adaptation, because my springform pan was larger than she explained so I needed to almost double the recipe. I also felt that a cherry topping would be too sweet, so a tarter topping was needed… and berries are in season at the moment so I had to make use of them!
That looks yummy!!!!!!
I’ve never successfully made a fridge cheesecake so would try this recipe.
Gorgeous picture Jeanette!
What a great photo! And that cake looks lovely. I adore baked cheesecake so I seldom make or eat a fridge one unless it’s offered by someone.
You should try my lemon fridge tart – it is divine. 🙂
Looks delicious!
That looks beautiful. I’ve never made a cheesecake – the thought of the cream cheese puts me off (!) but I make fridge tarts. Apparently the can of condensed milk doesn’t have the same effect 🙂
LOL, but you shouldn’t use the tub of cream cheese, but the slabs… that’s much more palateable
