As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to Delta Park on Sunday afternoon to take some photos of the cosmos that I knew was flowering there.

I got there at the perfect time, when the sun was just peeping over the tops of the trees. The light was beautiful.

I’m having a blast playing around with freelensing. I’m primarily using my 50mm lens for the technique at the moment, until I get more confirtable. I just love it! It’s not exactly the easiest way to take photos, and you really do need to learn to embrace the imperfections in the images.

If you’re wondering, when you free-lens, you remove your lens from the body and hold it in front of the camera and then take the photo. It’s hellish tricky to get it to focus, but once you get it right, I love the tilt-shift effect you get.

I’m not very good at taking photos of people using this method yet though… that needs a lot more practise.
