I’ve been in Knysna for the last week, well, to be more precise, we were staying with friends in Sedgefield which is the town right next to Knysna.
It was the first time we’d stayed in Sedgefield, and the first time the kids had been to that part of the country, so I have LOADS and LOADS of photos to show you over the next week or so 🙂
On the first evening, Nick took us on a drive around the Sedgefield lagoon and to Myoli beach as part of his plan to show us around the town… and the sunset was quite magnificent. So of course, we stopped for photos.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get more beautiful, the sun and clouds moved again… and we were in for more gorgeousness… the sky was on fire!
And that type of sunset didn’t happen again while we were there. I’m so glad we drove around when we did. It was so magical!
We had such an amazing trip, and we saw and experienced such amazing things. It was not only a new place, but it was also the first time we’d gone away with friends ever! The kids LOVED being entertained by friends 24/7… I hardly saw them, just had to make sure they ate, brushed teeth and slept at a decent hour. It was the kind of trip that I desperately needed.
