We make a point of driving along Chapmans Peak whenever we’re in Cape Town. I absolutely love the views from the road. This has to be one of my most favourite places in Cape Town.
This year we drove along the road as we followed the route of the 56km Two Oceans race that L was due to run a few days later. We always find an excuse 😉
I know this is one of the toughest parts of the Two Oceans route, but this is really why I want to run the race one day. I’ve cycled the road (we did the Cape Town Cycle Tour twice pre-kids), I now need to run it at least once.
Wee stopped at one of the main lookout stops, and then climbed the stone steps to the top landing. Wow, that’s so worth the climb!
Photos taken from Chapmans Peak are definitely better at other times of the day when you can see more detail on the other side of Hout Bay harbour, but still… I love the views!
