This is going to be my last post about our trip. I’m going to share my favourite photos from Cape Town.
I could probably stretch this over a few posts, but I’m getting bored and I’m sure you are too. I need to archive the folders ready for photobooks and a few prints. I’ve decided to share mostly sea- and landscapes rather than photos of my family (those are on Facebook). I hope you like them… one day I’ll get my butt into gear and set up an online shop for prints.
We stayed in an AirBNB in Table View, and we were a few blocks away from the beachfront. We spent most mornings running along the promenade, and then we came back in the afternoons to watch the amazing sunsets and kite surfers. The beach was incredible! C was however very bleak that he was in a cast so he couldn’t swim. The fact that the water was absolutely freezing didn’t deter him at all.
We met friends in Kalk Bay one evening for a fishy meal. I left the party for a bit to walk along the pier with the kids, to take a few photos. I really need to spend more time in this little village, it’s so cool!
We said we didn’t want to go to the V&A Waterfront this year. But then B’s primary school friend wanted to meet up for a catch-up so off we went.
While the boys were wandering around, I took Connor, Claire and Deanca onto the Cape Wheel. Connor hadn’t been since he was tiny, so it was like a completely new experience for him. It was a really windy evening, and those little cabins were really rocking about. The view was amazing though, and the kids really enjoyed the experience.
My Karoo photos don’t really fit in with this story, so I’ll do a separate post with those…
